Starting School

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to the Sheerhatch Primary School family.

At the heart of our school is a commitment to empowering every child to reach their full potential. We celebrate each child’s individuality and nurture their aspirations, helping them grow into confident, curious learners. Our vision is to inspire individuals who, together, create thriving and resilient communities. Through high-quality education, personal development and strong partnerships, we strive to provide an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and able to flourish.

As your child prepares to join us, we ask parents and carers to complete a New Pupil Admission Form. This form collects important information including personal details, medical needs and emergency contacts. It also allows you to indicate your consent for the use of certain personal information, where required. Clear guidance is provided throughout the form, and you may choose to grant or withhold consent as appropriate.

All information shared with the school is treated confidentially and processed in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Personal data is used solely for educational and safeguarding purposes and to enable the school to meet its legal responsibilities.

We also ask that you read our School Privacy Notice, which explains how personal data is collected, used and stored, as well as your rights as a parent or carer on behalf of your child. The Privacy Notice is available on our website and is kept up to date throughout the academic year.
