We are the Squirrels. We are the Foundation Stage class. Our teachers are Miss Garcia, Mrs Kipling and Mrs Williams. Mrs Pozella and Mrs Macdougall also help us with our learning.
In Squirrels class we promote kindness and respect to create a calm and collaborative learning environment. The classroom and the outside area features continuous provision alongside activities designed to target each area of the Early Years Foundation Stage areas for learning. Children are encouraged to explore this during 'choosing time'. We also have short group learning sessions for phonics and maths daily as well as a circle time sessions covering a key curriculum area each day.
Our goal is to give the children all the skills they need to become eager and independent learners in readiness for Year One and beyond. We encourage our squirrels to be themselves fully and teach them that their voices and feelings are important and we all have a role to play in our class.
