Uniform

We expect all children to attend school wearing appropriate school uniform, which is kept clean and tidy.

Please refer to the  Uniform list from May 24

Uniform can be ordered from Brigade Clothing or School Trends.

We believe that the wearing of a school uniform is important for the following reasons:

  • instills pride and supports positive behaviour
  • plays a vital role in contributing to the ethos of the school
  • ensures pupils of all races and backgrounds feel welcome
  • protects children from social pressures to dress in a particular way
  • nurtures cohesion and community between pupils

Rules

  • Uniform is to be worn correctly at all times in school. Please label all items clearly.
  • No jewellery is to be worn except for watches and plain gold stud earrings (which must be taken out or taped over for PE activities.)
  • Long hair should be worn out of the face and tied back for all PE and art/technology activities.
  • No make-up or nail varnish should be worn.

FOSH also has a Friends of Sheerhatch Uniform Sale page on Facebook listing second-hand uniform that has kindly been donated to sell.
