About

Our School runs across two sites, a mile and a half apart, occupying central village locations in  Cople and Willington,  which are situated off the A603 between Bedford and Sandy, with Cople to the South and Willington to the North. We draw our pupils from the villages themselves, but also welcome applications for places (subject to availability) from outside our catchment area.

The school sites were founded separately by the Duke of Bedford in 1867 and 1869 and are housed both in the original Victorian buildings and in modern extensions.

Currently we have three classes on each site including some parallel classes on each site. When the transition is complete, the Wilington site will be home to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and the Cople site will have Years 3 through to 6.

After Year 6, our children transfer to secondary school. There are a number of options, but we work closely with Mark Rutherford School in Bedford for which we are a named feeder school.

Our intake number is 30 and we currently have 127 children on roll.
