DEVELOPING INDIVIDUALS, GROWING A COMMUNITY

Safe, Honest, Enthusiastic, Encouraging, Respectful, Hardworking, Ambitious, Tolerant, Caring, Happy.

Welcome to Sheerhatch Primary School. Our  school opened in September 2017 following the merger of Cople Lower School and Willington Lower School. We are a Community School for children aged from 4 to 11, from the two villages and beyond.

I am very proud to lead our school and love to see the children grow, learn and develop through their Primary years. I am always delighted to show visitors around, so please come and see us if you would like to find out more.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing your child’s journey.

Our Vision

Sheerhatch Primary School is a warm and friendly school serving the villages of Cople, Willington and surrounding areas. We offer a vibrant, yet safe and secure environment encouraging our children to live and work by the SHEERHATCH values.

We will treat every  child as an individual and motivate, challenge and support them to reach their full potential. We believe our children should be happy, inquiring and confident learners and we will encourage a thirst for learning which we hope will stay with them for life.

We promote a broad, creative curriculum that is inclusive to all children, celebrating their strengths and aptitudes, building key skills, knowledge and understanding. This is underpinned by a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy skills along with a high profile for Science and Technology, along with opportunities for enrichment that develop an appreciation of the Arts and Humanities.

We are all individuals, but stronger together.

Our nature area is taking shape! We would really appreciate help from volunteers to make it the best possible resource for our children and the community. Please click on the survey link to volunteer! https://forms.gle/Gqtbtqt7SwCPUHCR8
